Meet the Principal

Meet the Principal
This will be Mr. Hansen’s first year with Victor Elementary School District. Before becoming principal at Endeavour he started out in education as a special education teacher at Hesperia High School for five years before moving on to Sultana High School, where he continued to teach special education for six years. Mr. Hansen made the transition from the classroom to administrative work when he became assistant principal at Silver Valley High School. He continued his administrative work as he became principal at Tiefort View Intermediate School and Principal at Yermo School before becoming a part of the VESD team.

Mr. Hansen grew up in the High Desert and attended Hesperia High School. After graduating he went on to Cal State Stanislaus where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and received his Master’s in Administration and Leadership from Chapman University. He was on his way to become a security investment stockbroker, when his high school baseball coach reached out to him and he began helping out with the baseball team. He then realized becoming a stockbroker was not his “cup of tea” and it was in that experience that he began his work in the field of education. Mr. Hansen not only played baseball in both high school and college, but continued with the sport at Hesperia High School as head varsity baseball coach and the assistant head varsity coach for baseball at Sultana High School. He also enjoys music, specifically punk, opera, and classical music. Some of his favorite activities include going to concerts, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife and four kids.
